How to find ECID of your iPod Touch or iPhone?

How to find ECID in 3 Quick Steps: Without any DFU mode

Hi everyone,
You all are here to know ECID of your Apple Device and most of you just wonder what is ECID? ECID stands for Electronic Chip ID which is unique for every iDevice out there. You need to know the ECID to get SHSH blobs from CYDIA and to downgrade your device or save them for the upcoming future.

One good tool to know your ECID and to fetch blobs from Cydia is TinyUmbrella. It works fine with many people, but for many others like me, it doesn't detect the device when connected to the PC even if iTunes detect it. So, to create a manual device in TinyUmbrella and get SHSH blobs from it you need to know your device's ECID. How to do that? Follow the steps below.

Note: If you aren't Jailbroken, you can use this tutorial to find ECID.

Requirements :  A 'Jailbroken iDevice' with Cydia.

Step 1: Launch 'Cydia' on your device. It's the first step to do. Cydia is like an App Store which helps you to download themes, tweaks, lockscreens and other useful add-ons for your iDevice. You launch Cydia from your HomeScreen by simply tapping on it. If you have never used Cydia before, see the icon in the image and open it on your device.

Step 2: Scroll down and open 'TSS Center (SHSH & APTicket)'. The Cydia by default opens in the Cydia tab which is at the bottom of the app. All you need to do is scroll a bit down until you see ;TSS Center (SHSH & APTicket);. Then tap on it and it'll direct you to another page.

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see your ECID preceded by some zeroes. The first number after zeroes is where your ECID starts. The TSS Center will display your saved SHSH blobs on the top in green colour and some additional info about iOS 6.0 to 6.1.2 blobs. If you want to dig in its your choice. Then it shows the information about the TSS center and a warning Note as seen in the image below. At the bottom of this page you have something written as ECID (circled in the image) with a few zeroes and a number. Ignore the front zeroes and your ECID is from the first number after the zeroes. You can use this ECID in TinyUmbrella and get your SHSH blobs from Cydia.

Congrats!!! You have found your ECID number in just 3 steps. Now you are free to use it for your purpose. If you have any questions or if this method doesn't help you posts your questions in the comment box below.I will try to reach you as soon as possible.

Please give a +1 if it helps you. It would help me a lot.

Thanks,
